The Calidus CS for heartcut and backflush applications.

Calidus CS Gas Chromatograph

The Calidus CS comprises 5 modules: a sample processing unit with sampling valve; 2 x resistively heated column modules (choice of columns available); and 2 x detectors (either flame ionisation (FID), flame photometrics (FPD) or thermal conductivity (TCD)).  The column switching valve enables the GC to perform heartcut and backflush operations, making it ideal for individual component specification from a sample matrix.

Having two resistively heated columns means that they can be independently temperature controlled with ramp rates from 0.1 to 5 °C per second from 5 °C above ambient to 180 °C.

It can be used for product specifications testing, product safety, environmental measurements, catalyst protection, research and many more applications:

  • in the laboratory
  • at line
  • is transportable
  • on-line

A single Calidus™ GC provides a simple ultra-fast analysis 10 to 50 times faster than conventional GCs, has a footprint less than half of a research grade GC, and the capacity to do the work of 4 to 5 research grade GCs, making it the leading choice for gas analysis equipment and a cost effective measurement method.

The modular design lowers maintenance costs and increases flexibility to run different fluid mixtures.

The Calidus series of GCs uses ground breaking technology in the form of resistively heated column to give superior performance. Using the stainless tube as the heater means that the traditional ovens for columns can be removed and the size of the system can be dramatically reduced.

The ethos of the Calidus series from day one was that a GC used in the lab should be the same GC when used as an on-line system for process control.  This way the performance, methods and procedures developed for highly repeatable measurements can be directly applied to on-line systems.

Hydrogen Generator

Precision Hydrogen

These modular, stackable generators allow a safe hydrogen supply for carrier gas and FID operation without the requirement for storing high pressure hydrogen cylinders. These generators complete the portability of the Calidus GC and provide high purity hydrogen by electrolysis of water. The only utilities required are power and demineralised water to produce an uninterrupted supply of hydrogen gas.
