A fast, superior performance Gas Chromatograph (GC) - gas analysis equipment at its best.

The Calidus range of GCs have been designed to improve productivity and dramatically reduce maintenance costs. The simple modular design means that a technician can change a column or perform routine maintence with minimal training.

"Calidus GC by Falcon Analytical is a compelling solution" Chevron

 Calidus 101 drawing

Model 101 is comprised of 3 modules: a sample processing unit; column module (choice of columns available); and detector (either flame ionisation (FID), flame photometric (FPD) or thermal conductivity (TCD)).  It can be used for virtually any gas and hydrocarbons up to C44

  • in the laboratory
  • at line
  • transportable
  • on-line

For simulated distillation and hydrocarbons up to C50, see the 101 HT version (see versions tab).

A single Calidus™ superior capability GC is capable of monitoring VOCs in less than 20 seconds, has a footprint less than 1/2 of a research grade GC, and the capacity to do the work of 4 to 5 research grade GCs making it the leading choice for gas analysis equipment and a cost effective measurement method.

The modular design lowers maintenance costs and increases flexibility to run different fluid mixtures.

The Calidus series of superior performance GCs uses ground breaking technology in the form of resistively heated column. Using the stainless tube as the heater means that the traditional ovens for columns can be removed and the size of the system can be dramatically reduced.

The ethos of the Calidus series from day one was that a GC used in the lab should be the same GC when used as an on-line system for process control.  This way the performance, methods and procedures developed for highly repeatable measurements can be directly applied to on-line systems.

"The Calidus was calibrated and analyzing samples within 6 hours and cleared a backlog of 30+ natural gas samples within 48 hours"  SGS

The repeatability of the 101 is better than +/- 1 % RSD (area) and better than 0.1 % RSD (retention times).

Simulated distillation analysis for virtually any hydrocarbon fuel or fuel blend.

Calidus 101 HT drawing

Model 101HT also has three modules, and, with the Mxt1-HT, high temperature simulated distillation gas chromatography measurements can be made.

The fast response from this GC allows easy implimentation of ASTM D-2887

A single detector incorporating a micro Flame Ionisation Detector (FID) with the necessary hardware, software and electronics, control a column temperature of up to 400°C.

The 101-HT also comes with ChromPefect, Lineup and SimDist 2000 software.

Hydrogen Generator

Precision Hydrogen

These modular, stackable generators allow a safe hydrogen supply for carrier gas and FID operation without the requirement for storing high pressure hydrogen cylinders. These generators complete the portability of the Calidus GC and provide high purity hydrogen by electrolysis of water. The only utilities required are power and demineralised water to produce an uninterrupted supply of hydrogen gas.
